Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Assistant to join their business.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain QMS: Keep the Quality Management System current and compliant with BRC and other standards.
- Document Control: Ensure all policies, procedures, forms, and signs are up-to-date.
- Handle Complaints: Collect, record, and investigate customer and supplier complaints promptly.
- Non-Conformance: Follow up on on-conformance issues for continuous improvement.
- Reports: Complete and communicate KPI and other departmental reports.
- Supplier Certifications: Manage and file supplier COA/COC, raw material MR & ETO certificates.
- Testing Schedules: Ensure laboratory testing schedules are up-to-date.
- Supplier Management: Handle supplier approval information and ensure BRC certifications are current.
- Customer Info: Provide technical information to customers, including specifications and certificates.
- Specifications: Complete customer specifications accurately and promptly.
- EU Compliance: Ensure compliance with EU legislation for product release.
- Communication: Provide accurate data to management and respond to ad hoc requests.
- Continuous Improvement: Review and update procedures and policies as needed.
- Team Leader Support: Deputise for the Technical Services Team Leader when required.
