Our client is a market leading company that specialises in computer-controlled testing systems for Geotechnical Engineers and Geologists.

Based out of our clients Head office with potential international travel area up to 5 times per year working in various clients' laboratories you will be responsible for supporting the Geotechnical Engineering team on all fundamentals while maintaining a high level of personal presentation and excellent communication skills.

What's involved for the Geotech Engineer...

  • System assembly and QA testing for customer orders ready for
  • Provide feedback and propose improvements on In-house testing and calibration of products and systems.
  • De-bug and problem solve issues from a geotechnical perspective with customer systems and products while at our clients base and from the field via phone/email
  • Installation of our client's equipment and the provision of any associated training at customers' premises both internationally and in the
  • Organise and support day-to-day team activities in the absence of the Geotechnical Systems Lead.
  • Work closely with the Geotechnical Specialist and Marketing on Geotechnical
  • Represent the client in future geotechnical development and research projects
  • Ensure technical documents are updated with Geotechnical information on a regular
  • Test new or bespoke systems for geo/technical performance
  • Organise and deliver geotechnical knowledge / information to the business on a regular basis

What you'll need...

  • Minimum graduate level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or similar, with experience in geotechnical lab Experience of writing papers or other technical literature.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, both oral and
  • The capability to independently manage time and prioritise work whilst maintaining agreed
  • Ability to quickly learn in-house developed software
  • A flexible approach to work and be prepared to work with any member of the team
  • Experience of Microsoft office for report writing and scientific data
  • The desire to learn new ideas and
  • A basic understanding and confidence to work with electronic/electrical components and
  • Ability to think logically and problem solve software, mechanical and electrical
