Accounts Payable Specialist, Senior

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist - Senior role will focus on managing the processing and payment of all vendor invoices in EMEA. It involves working closely with the invoice processing team within Global Business Services (GBS) in India and the local AP team in the UK Shared Service Centre to ensure all invoices are approved within company policy guidelines and paid within agreed payments terms.

As a subject matter expert, the role will involve mentoring and advising the AP team in your area of specialism, this could be payments, reporting, process improvements, communication contact with AP India team or any another aspect of the AP function.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Overseeing AP Solihull team tasks, ensuring processes are followed and deadlines achieved.
  • Working with the AP Manager and AP Supervisor to drive process improvements and introduce new initiatives.
  • Assisting with AP projects such as implementation of system and process changes and other ad hoc projects.
  • Compiling and reviewing performance measures for both the processing team in India and the AP team in Solihull, helping to drive continuous improvement.
  • Working with the team helping to ensure excellent customer service is provided to internal functions and Infor local businesses at all times.
  • Producing audit reports and sample testing to measure the accuracy of invoices processing/vendor maintenance by GBS team and payments/other processes carried out by AP Solihull team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Accounts payable experience in a software or technology.
  • Fluency in a second European or a Middle Eastern language is desirable, but not essential. (Arabic, German, French and Italian are most desired).
  • Experience in communicating with customers in resolving invoice/payment issues and queries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team lead experience.
  • Experience with process improvement.
  • Project management experience.

Location: Hybrid Role (3 days in our Solihull office per week- (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in office, Monday and Friday would be remote)
