Senior Accounts Payable

Overview

This large, fast-paced international Manufacturing business are looking for an assured, confident and enthusiastic Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team based in Birmingham.

This role is a varied role and will see you take ownership for a large and complex ledger, doing large reconciliations and processing payments/invoices on a busy and high-volume ledger, with particular emphasis on building effective relationships with suppliers. This role is suited to an individual who has a practical approach to your work in purchase ledger, with a positive attitude and confident communication style.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have good experience of working in a busy, fast-paced and energetic environment in a broad purchase ledger position
  • Possess good knowledge of, and experience with, MS Excel - being able to quickly and easily manipulate large volumes of raw data with sorting, filtering and formulae
  • Be experienced in dealing with large reconciliations
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and be great at building and fostering relationships with important suppliers
