We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN), facilitating their access to learning programmes and personal development.

  • Salary: £24538 to £25265

Day to Day of the Role of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Offer person-centred learning support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Assist with personal care needs where necessary.
  • Encourage students to engage with activities and work independently.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other agencies.
  • Support learners with personal care and mobility as instructed by the learners themselves.

Required Skills & Qualifications required for the LSA role:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and discrimination issues.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care and mobility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisational skills with proficiency in IT and administration.
  • Experience with SEN learners in secondary or FE environments is desirable.
