Claims Quality Assurance Analyst (100% Home-Based)

Posted by Aston Charles Ltd.

A true 'digital disrupter', this cutting-edge Insurtech is turning the claims landscape on its head; challenging the status quo and the previously accepted norms - and delivering fantastic customer outcomes as a result!

This 'Third Party Administrator - with a difference' is the brain child of several insurance veterans with rich pedigrees in utilising state-of-the-art technology to tackle longstanding problems in the claims industry. Cash rich, it has been backed by a number of specialist VC firms, and has long-term agreements in place with some of the best-known MGAs on the planet.

This is a 100% home-based role, where you will be provided with all the tools needed to make a real success of this position (including a top of the range Apple MacBook with additional screens etc), and benefiting from an extremely friendly and supportive team environment.

As Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of claims processing through the implementation and management of quality assurance processes and procedures. Reviewing recorded calls, you will conduct audits and reviews of claims to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and procedures, verifying that payments were made correctly and in accordance with appropriate plans and policies. You'll develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to improve the overall claims process, maintain relationships with the audit teams, and create reports and analysis on claims quality, including trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement; communicating findings to claims stakeholders. In addition, you'll identify and analyse potential risks and fraud within the claims process, as well as assisting with developing training materials, documentation, quick reference guides and helping to facilitate training sessions with the claims team. Crucially, you'll understand that the QA process isn't meant to be punitive, but rather, an opportunity for development and process improvement.

It is essential that you have previous experience within a claims handling role (within any general insurance product class). You'll have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, together with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You'll have strong familiarity with industry best practices, but an equally strong comfort in thinking critically about easier, even better ways of working. Because you will be liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, first-class communication skills are absolutely essential. Experience with data analytics tools would certainly be advantageous, although this is by no means necessary.

You will receive a generous basic salary ranging between £45K - £62K per annum, together with a range of company benefits, including support towards professional qualifications. For the ambitious, the sky really is the limit! With more high-profile MGAs being onboarded all the time, there is clearly going to be a myriad of opportunities for progression in the short, medium and longer-term!
