Production Manager vacancy with a growing manufacturer based in Doncaster. With continued year on year growth, the business is looking for a new Production Manager to join the leadership team and push the site forward through 2024 and beyond.

Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a highly successful Doncaster based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of products to a large customer base, both across the UK and internationally.

This UK business has experienced impressive growth in recent years due to their innovation, agility, and an ambition to succeed and are now looking for a passionate Production Manager with a background in people management, safety and quality to assist them in driving the business forward.

Description

Reporting into the Operations & Technical Director, and managing a team of c.15, the Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Ensuring a culture of safety, leading initiatives to promote safe work practices.
  • Managing daily production operations, ensuring targets are met to plan.
  • Optimising production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensuring that ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality certifications are complied with.
  • Monitoring and managing KPIs related to production, safety, and quality.
  • Driving process improvements and lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve safety.

Profile

Successful candidates will have a strong leadership background and a good understanding of manufacturing principles. You will also possess:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven experience in managing health, safety, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing site.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and their application in manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with an ERP system would be advantageous but not essential.
