Mobile Retirement Housing Officer - 18.5 hours

We are currently recruiting a part time mobile Retirement Housing Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This is a varied role and will involve working with a diverse range of customers, some of which will have complex needs. You will provide cover to our 23 Retirement living schemes across the Bradford District when existing Officers aren't on site. We are looking for a friendly, customer focused individual to provide welfare checks and oversee the management of the schemes.

The role is 18.5 hours per week. Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday full days

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and external agencies to ensure they are happy, safe and comfortable in their homes
  • Oversee use of communal areas, monitor building safety & maintenance issues, and outside services such as window cleaners and grounds maintenance
  • Ensure that all scheme services are of high quality, consistently delivered and offer the best value for our residents
  • Conduct welfare checks on residents
  • Work with other departments and agencies to resolve any issues that arise relating to the residents and tenancies

Requirements

  • A caring and empathetic approach
  • A calm and sensible manner in order to handle potential emergency situations
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of customers
  • The ability to maintain and respect confidentiality
  • A commitment to equality
  • Good IT skills, with a working knowledge of MS systems
  • A current UK drivers licence and full time access to a car, insured for business use (essential)
