Position: Maintenance Technician
Salary: £35,000 per annum + Annual bonus up to 10%

Are you an adept Maintenance Technician ready to join a dynamic team? We are actively seeking a skilled, multi-faceted maintenance expert to manage our collection of 35 properties.
Preferred Location: Seeking candidates in or around the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire area.
Essential Duties:
- Efficiently organize your work schedule to prioritize and address local maintenance needs.
- Work in tandem with the Maintenance and Facilities Administrator to quickly obtain necessary equipment and parts, ensuring quality service.
- Receive work orders directly from the company's Maintenance Team or on-site management.
- Employ your technical skills to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues, referring only significant or unusual problems to your supervisor.
- Follow all training for the proper use of work equipment and personal protective gear.
- Adhere to all work permit systems and safety protocols.
- Conduct tasks according to best practices, following site health and safety policies and risk assessments.
- Collaborate to provide a comprehensive, high-quality maintenance service.
- Be willing to undertake additional tasks that match your abilities as required.
- Manage physically demanding activities, such as heavy lifting, working at heights, and in confined spaces, following manual handling regulations.
- Complete and submit all work-related documentation punctually.
- Track and report any costs associated with equipment and material purchases for each task.
Professional Growth:
- Apply your skills and knowledge to propose improvements to routines and processes in your area of expertise.
Collaboration:
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and colleagues throughout the organization to enhance maintenance communication with unit managers.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, management, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure a harmonious work environment.
Reporting:
- Report promptly using the company's procedures and the Maintain CAFM system.
- Record details of tasks attended to, including the nature of the work and materials used.
- Notify your supervisor ahead of time regarding any planned holidays or time off.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Versatile trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, bricklaying, and tiling.
- Demonstrated ability to fix building fabric faults.
- Familiarity with maintenance in a multi-site hospitality and catering setting.
- A commitment to ongoing skill development through training.
- The ability to travel between regions, with occasional overnight stays.
- Strong time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Ideally, an NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in building maintenance or a similar field.
- Experience in construction or building maintenance.
- Experience working in pub or restaurant maintenance.
- A track record of providing outstanding customer service in a maintenance capacity.
- High motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards work.
