We are seeking adaptable and dedicated Cover Teachers to join our pool of professionals supporting secondary schools across Essex. Whether you are looking for ad-hoc, short-term, or long-term assignments, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and work flexibly across multiple schools in Colchester, Southend, Chelmsford, Basildon, and nearby areas.
About the Role:
As a Cover Teacher, you will:
- Provide high-quality teaching in the absence of permanent staff.
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Work in a variety of secondary schools across Essex, adapting to different learning environments and school cultures.
- Maintain a professional and flexible approach, ready to step into assignments on short notice when required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or a degree with significant teaching experience.
- Previous experience as a Cover Teacher is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools and subjects.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passionate about education and able to motivate and engage students.
- Ability to travel to various schools across Essex for ad-hoc and planned cover assignments.
