AL782: Field Service Engineer
Location: Devizes
Salary: Up to £16 per hour
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work on installation, planned preventative maintenance and repairs on wide range of plant and machinery.
- To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested.
- To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently.
- To operate Emergency Cover as required (1 week in 4 during Harvest Season).
- Able to read mechanical drawings and translate to the work being undertaken.
- Able to work alone and/or as part of a small team.
- To take ownership and responsibility for tasks presented, and work in a manner that helps to ensure the success of the business.
- Keep up to date with administration requirements as required (Job Record Sheets, Dynamic Risk Assessments, timesheets, vehicle checklists, machinery checklists, etc).
- Communicate with the Supervisor, Manager, Project Engineer, Customer as required to provide regular updates on progress and issues.
- Assist with other duties as requested.
- Assist with overtime if required, as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of servicing and installation of mechanical plant and machinery.
- Analytical problem solver.
- Communication skills and customer facing experience.
- Timekeeping, housekeeping and administration.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
