Credit Control

Our client is seeking an experienced credit controller to join their finance team.

The company who are based in Staines offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office per week, there is some flexibility around this. Hours of work are 9am - 6pm 4 days per week and 12pm - 8pm 1 day per week (due to USA based customers).

Duties

  • Ensure customers pay within their agreed payment terms; contact customer by phone and email
  • Chasing outstanding monies owed by customers
  • Working in line with set debtor days
  • Ensure appropriate credit limits set for each customer
  • Monitor the bank to release cash in advance orders
  • Obtain remittance advices to support customer receipts
  • Send copy of invoices or statements as requested by customer
  • Maintain customer master data records
  • Generate reports and analysis to assist with compliance with the company credit insurance policy
  • Assist with the credit insurance annual renewal process
  • Generate monthly reports and analysis to show the status of overdue debt and collections
  • Create and maintain relationships with each customer
  • Work with other departments to ensure swift resolution of customer queries
  • Forecast customer receipts for cash flow
  • Assist with the annual audit
  • Identify improvements to the Accounts Receivable process

Requirements

  • Solid career history within credit control
  • Competent knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
