Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
You will understand the Learning, Development and Training market and LearningCog's position & direction.

The role will include writing and proof-reading marketing copy, for both online and print campaigns, including blogs.

Location: The Offices, 57 Newtown Road, Hove, England, BN3 7BA ---- the role will be remote but the apprentice will need to be located in the Brighton area, as we will regularly meet up there.

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum.

Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]:

  • Day to day management of the client's social media accounts and accounts of other businesses in the group
  • Defining a competitive content strategy across multiple businesses that aligns with each business' direction, current climate and identified SEO keywords using a ‘client-first' approach
  • Driving revenue for the business directly tied to marketing campaigns, and monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communications.
  • Building content based around current events with a quick turnaround and liaising with media outlets on publication
  • Monitoring brand performance analytics across social and web platforms using relevant tools and translating data into actions
  • Sourcing and engaging suitable partners to create engaging co-branded content and drive backlinks
  • Pro-actively search for new ways to expand the client's digital footprint and ways to optimise existing platforms and observe and participate in sales meetings, tradeshows, lectures, webinars, and conferences to deepen industry knowledge and market awareness.
  • Work together with internal team to ensure case studies & testimonials are captured and leveraged through appropriate communications.

Desirable skills:

  • Excellent English skills and the ability to independently research and write grammatically correct and articulate posts
  • Proficiency with basic sorting functions and formulae within Excel, alongside comfort with analysing basic numbers and trend analysis
  • The ability to see the ‘bigger picture' and come up with creative ideas to create a competitive advantage
  • Flexibility to shift between blue sky thinking and funnelling ideas down into tangible deliverables, projects and campaigns
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to define the benefits of the social media strategy
  • An eye for detail and the ability to create engaging and topical content that resonates with specific audiences

No prior experience necessary, however basic experience of using social media in a commercial environment and previous experience of the Adobe suite of products would be highly advantageous.

Personal qualities:

  • Must feel comfortable with researching and driving work independently, while being able to work alongside and within a team
  • Must have a strong sense of curiosity and a drive for personal growth and development within the marketing industry
  • High self-motivation and organisational skills required with the ability to chop and change between projects as required by the business

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
