My client is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are upheld across their residential properties and operational sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments, as well as developing and delivering training programs. This role is integral to promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the organisation.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Undertake planned and ad hoc health and safety audits and inspections, reporting findings to relevant departments.
  • Participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings, presenting ideas and monitoring compliance.
  • Plan and implement action programs for health and safety improvements.
  • Manage the health and safety e-learning portfolio and monitor its effectiveness.
  • Identify learning and development needs and assist in organising training for managers and staff.
  • Provide support and advice on health and safety issues to operational managers.
  • Advise on DSE and office-related risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe systems of work.
  • Produce reports for various audiences and draft communications for new training and procedures.
  • Work with various teams to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the health, safety, and facilities team in promoting the organisation's work.
  • Contribute to internal health and safety messaging that aligns with the organisation's culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in health and safety roles, working with staff and managers at all levels.
  • Ability to produce and review health and safety procedures and motivate employees to act safely.
  • Skilled in collecting, monitoring, and analysing health and safety data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write coherent reports.
  • NEBOSH or NCRQ certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Graduate level education or equivalent experience.
