My client is a dynamic, employee-owned RIBA Chartered Practice located in the historic city of Bath, who specialise in modern adaptations of historic properties. Their diverse projects range from high-end residential and commercial new builds to refurbishments with construction values of £300K to £10M, including projects up to £17M in the South of the UK.

I am keen to speak with motivated Project/Senior Architects who demonstrate technical proficiency in both existing and new buildings and are able to manage multiple projects under the Directors' guidance. A strong knowledge of historic buildings is essential, with conservation accreditation as a plus but not required.

Skills, Responsibilities and Qualifications needed for the role of Project/ Senior Architect:

  • Lead and manage architectural projects from inception to completion, encompassing all RIBA Plan of Work stages.
  • Work closely with Directors on workload scheduling and project management.
  • Coordinate resources and oversee the delegation of tasks to supporting staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development regarding construction, building regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, consultants, and authorities.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and prioritisation skills to deliver detailed drawings on schedule.
  • Operate as an independent project architect with available technical support.
  • Showcase strong design and presentation skills across all RIBA stages.
  • Possess knowledge of building technologies, environmental design, and construction techniques.
  • Familiarity with traditional building techniques is a plus.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organised, and a team player.
  • Hold a RIBA Part 3 qualification with several years plus of post-qualification experience.
  • ARB Registered.
  • Have a full driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
