Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong administration skills, particularly within finance, although we are open to applicants who have transferable skills and are eager to learn. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in finance operations within a supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Follow instructions and established procedures to maintain financial records and reports.
  • Assist with data entry, account reconciliation, and financial documentation.
  • Use Excel to compile, manage, and analyze financial data. (Proficiency in Excel is essential.)
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide a professional and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use SAP software for financial processes (training will be provided if needed).
  • Customer Account Management: Maintain a stop list, issue statements, send out chasing letters, and actively chase overdue accounts.
  • Credit Control: Check credit ratings of both new and existing customers, set up new accounts, and agree on appropriate credit terms.
  • Customer Queries: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, offering solutions and clarifications where needed.
  • Invoices & Credit Notes: Raise rebates, ad hoc credit notes, and invoices as required, ensuring all are processed within one week of request.
  • Month-End Responsibilities: Ensure all bank postings are completed by month-end deadlines, with all accounts reconciled.

**What We're Looking For:

  • Proven administrative experience (finance experience would be an advantage).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions meticulously.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (or willingness to learn).
  • Proficiency in Excel (essential).
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
