Your new company
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join a team for the academic session of September 2024 - February 2025 within a secondary school. This job is full-time, located near Sunderland.
Your new role
- Teach students about different aspects of design and technology, ideally food technology (preferred), including graphics, product design
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs and requirements of the students
- Evaluate and assess students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans that are aligned with school standards
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status or relevant degree/experience
- Prior experience in teaching design and technology
- Experience in food technology is preferred, however, not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
