Collections and Recoveries Executive

From this continued success they are now looking to recruit a Collections and Recoveries Executive to allow them to continue their exciting growth plans.

As a Collections and Recoveries Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business meeting it's targets by identifying bad debt and risk and working closely with customers to minimise this. You'll work with customers to negotiate options which are viable for the business, whilst still providing an exceptional level of service.

Role responsibilities;

  • Maintain and administer a portfolio of arrears cases (early, mid and late arrears) with the aim of collecting arrears payments placing accounts back into formula
  • Negotiate with customers and equipment suppliers in respect of arrears/ equipment issues, in a polite, respectful manner, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Use tact and discretion when negotiating with the customer/ supplier to maintain relationships and promote a positive image of Propel Finance
  • Determine can't pay from won't pay cases and act accordingly
  • Implement working knowledge of our legal options should the customer not pay, and the agreement is terminated
  • Adhere to applicable law and internal processes at all times
  • Differentiate between regulated and unregulated customers and act according to law and the contracts signed
  • Remain vigilant to potential fraudulent customer activity
  • Recommend legal action on appropriate accounts with supporting evidence gathered showing a clear route to a successful financial recovery
  • Work to agreed targets and deadlines
  • Assist management with reporting and case summaries

Key skills required;

  • Excellent telephone manner with the ability to actively listen
  • Customer Service Experience ideally within the finance industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Able to work in a high volume, pressured environment
  • Demonstrate empathy & understanding
  • Manage difficult conversations
  • Flexible and ability to prioritise
  • Solution mindset
