Property Inspector – HHSRS - 6 – Month Interim Contract – Greater Manchester – £14.72 p/h PAYE– £18.45 p/h Umbrella Hybrid, Start ASAP

We are seeking a Property Inspector / Allocations Officer to join our public sector client in Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in the Homelessness Service or Children and Families sectors and have experience of HHSRS, Housing, Health & Safety, Requirements, Standards.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing property allocations and inspections,

ensuring effective support and accommodation solutions for service users.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Carry out assessments to determine service users' needs and provide appropriate support to ensure that outcomes are achieved within required timescales.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure that service users can access community and national services to achieve their identified outcomes.
  • Provide intensive support for customers with complex needs, offering holistic support plans that agree on individual targets and work towards the achievement of longer-term solutions and aspirations.
  • Assist customers in identifying realistic goals by providing choice and developing actions, ensuring full commitment and agreement from all parties to ensure the achievement of identified targets.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and collect data and information to evidence performance around service delivery to ensure achievement of internal and external targets.
  • Identify and secure emergency accommodation on the day for households, inspect properties for the dispersed accommodation scheme, and liaise with providers, owners, and agents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience within a Public Sector organisation, ideally within Homelessness Service or Children and Families.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Proficient in planning and organising multiple tasks effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities.
  • Good administrative and IT skills to manage data and documentation efficiently.
  • Must consent to and apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure check and a BPSS check.
