We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and support students' communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1:1 Interventions: Deliver tailored speech and language interventions to individual students, following the specific guidance and strategies provided by the Speech and Language Therapist.
- Group Sessions: Conduct small group sessions to enhance language skills, promoting effective communication and social interaction among peers.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and record students' progress meticulously, ensuring that interventions are effective and goals are being met. Provide detailed feedback to the Speech and Language Therapist and teaching staff.
- Resource Preparation: Develop and prepare engaging and appropriate resources to support speech and language activities. Adapt materials to meet the varying needs of students.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities and the broader curriculum.
- Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's progress and ways to support their language development at home.
About You:
- Proven experience in delivering 1:1 speech and language interventions.
- Ability to follow and implement the advice of the Speech and Language Therapist effectively.
- Strong organisational skills to monitor and document pupil progress.
- Passionate about supporting children's communication and language development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability and creativity in developing resources and strategies to support students' needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in students' lives.
