Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge?
Our client is seeking a skilled individual to work with brand new systems for engines and power train systems, as well as modifications to existing designs.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop design solutions based on initial briefs by creating layouts and verifying them through calculations, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques where appropriate.
- Produce manufacturing drawings, including assemblies and specifications for the final design.
- Control product realization, including manufacturing aspects, to achieve the most effective design.
- Define and manage product build definitions to ensure the component database remains accurate.
- Authorize engineering changes and concessions for nonconforming products.
- Manage in-service product safety incidents, including risk analysis and production of closing reports.
- Investigate in-service product failures and create failure reports.
Mechanical Design Engineer Experience
- Hold a first degree in an Engineering subject or possess 3 years of relevant experience in rotating or heavy engineering products.
- Have experience with 2D and 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor design software is desirable but not essential.
