Customer Services Representative
- Annual Salary: £24k - £25k dep. experience.
- Location: Kendal, Cumbria
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Working hours Mon – Thurs 08.30 - 5pm and 08.30 – 4pm on Fridays.
We are seeking a Customer Services Representative to join our client's team in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our client's customers, handling a variety of tasks from order processing to problem-solving, and contributing to the smooth operation of the customer service functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Efficiently process and manage customer orders from entry to delivery.
- Address general customer enquiries and resolve specific issues.
- Coordinate with external warehouse providers and delivery/haulage companies.
- Support account and product managers, assisting them as needed.
- Cultivate excellent relationships with all external customers.
- Contribute to the improvement of current practices and the continuous development of the role.
- Perform office-related tasks and handle the picking, packing, and dispatching of sample and small orders from our Kendal warehouse.
- Assist in stock takes and other tasks as the role and business evolve.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Polite and effective phone manner.
- Experience in customer service is advantageous along with experience of working within an office environment.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and organise.
- Analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
- A calm and helpful approach to all customer interactions.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the role.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- A clean driving licence.
