Calisen is the UK's leading meter asset provider for smart meters. As regulation around the smart metering infrastructure continues to evolve, we need to stay informed and proactive in lobbying to ensure the interests of meter asset providers are considered. Our growth strategy spans low carbon heating solutions, solar and battery offerings, electric vehicle charge points, and water meters. To support our business goals, we are seeking a proactive and professional Regulation Co-ordinator to join our Operations team.

As a Regulation Co-Ordinator, you will support the operations team by providing regulatory support and guidance across the group. You will focus on becoming a subject matter expert in low carbon heating, storage, and electric vehicle charging. Your role involves engaging with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, and producing timely and accurate management reports. Attendance at external meetings and providing feedback internally will also be crucial aspects of your role.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide regulatory support and advice to senior management.
  • Assist in maintaining the regulatory pipeline to identify and report future regulatory changes.
  • Attend industry meetings to gather information on the regulatory environment and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting for key stakeholders across Calisen.
  • Document and maintain the regulation awareness tool to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in identifying and recording risks, working with colleagues to ensure controls are in place and monitored.
  • Provide cover for the Regulation Manager at industry meetings, offering timely feedback and notes.
  • Represent Calisen at external events, network with colleagues and stakeholders, and develop an external network of contacts.

Person Specification & Desirable Knowledge:

  • Good level of general education (GCSE level or equivalent)
  • Relevant industry qualification
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Experience working with and reporting to various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the low carbon industry, products, and regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of the water sector and regulatory environment

  • Self-starter with multitasking ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and email
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Numerate
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organizational and administrative skills

  • Interest in low carbon technologies and achieving Net Zero ambitions
  • Willingness to travel and work in other business locations as required
