We are looking for a Business Analyst to lead the end-to-end analysis of IT and wider business related changes, ensuring solutions align with business needs, optimise efficiency, and support strategic objectives across projects.

  • Leading business analysis throughout project lifecycles, from pre to post-investment
  • Investigating business requests for IT-related and wider business changes, understanding the problem, and defining business value and priorities.
  • Engaging with subject matter experts to understand scope, budget, timelines, risks, and business impact.
  • Mapping business process changes and identifying opportunities for efficiency and transformation.
  • Capturing and prioritising high-level and detailed business requirements for change requests.
  • Ensuring business solutions optimise user experience and align with IT teams, including Cyber Security, Architecture, and Delivery.
  • Managing investment approvals and procurement activities.
  • Creating and maintaining key documents such as Business Outcome Statements, Cost-Benefit Analyses, and Project Proposals.
  • Facilitating business workshops to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Managing requirements change and ensuring solutions meet both functional and non-functional needs.
  • Coordinating resources to ensure project success.

What you'll need

  • Experience of technology delivery.
  • Over 5 years proven experience working either within IT or in a business system related role.
  • A sound understanding of BA methods, procedures, standards and tools.
  • A basic understanding of key roles within an IT organisation and how they interact with the BA role.
  • Detailed knowledge of the software development and project lifecycle.
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders including within a project environment.
