Our client who is a Marine Claims Consultancy is looking for a Marine Claims Handler to join their expanding Recoveries department in the Kent office. The purpose of the role is to handle and manage a caseload of Marine Claims.
Main Duties:
- Managing a caseload of Claims
- Handling the recoveries from start to finish
- Negotiating settlement
- Reviewing comprehensive documentation to determine liability
- Liaise with clients, Brokers, and Underwriters
- Responsible for handling fee income
- Maintaining relationships at all levels
Essential Skills Required:
- Previous experience within Marine Claims
- Experience with defendant and/or recoveries of claims
- Good IT skills
Desirable:
- Good organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Law degree achieved
What you need to know:
- Permanent role
- Based in Kent
- Salary between £28,000 - £32,000
