Primary Teacher

We are a newly established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harlow, seeking passionate and experienced Primary Teachers to join our dedicated team. As a Primary Teacher, you will have a pivotal role in providing quality education and support to children who have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion from their mainstream school.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures academic progress and emotional well-being.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored learning plans.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Primary Teacher status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working in a similar school setting, supporting students with behavioral challenges.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Dedication to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
