Audio Visual Design, Commission & Programme Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading Audio Visual and Lighting consultancy and installation company. They cover projects nationally and worldwide.

Based in their UK office in Reading, (Hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate), you will be working closely with other engineers and assisting with both the consultancy and the installation aspects of the business.

This is a flexible role, with great potential to grow as the business continues to expand.

You will be expected to have good knowledge of a range of Audio Visual, Lighting, and systems to be able to recommend and install suitable products.

You will be organised, and able to keep track of support issues, ongoing projects and customer relationships.

Our clients have a varied clientele, ranging from corporate to entertainment; with the majority of their business being entertainment and hospitality venues incorporating all disciplines of Audio, Video and Lighting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To design, program and commission Audio Visual and Lighting Installations
  • Offer telephone, or if needed onsite, support to customers as needed
  • Respond to customers in a timely fashion, and assist in sales if needed
  • This role may involve over night travel, and work out of regular office hours

Based in Reading, the role could be a Hybrid one for the right candidate who must be extremely technical and know Audio Visual inside out!

Salary for the successful candidate will be £48k-£60k doe plus benefits.

Key Skills Required

  • A good knowledge of equipment, and standards within the Audio Visual industry.
  • Experience carrying out installation tasks on Client sites
  • Experience using AutoCAD or other CAD software to generate layouts and schematics
  • Experience programming and commissioning a range of AV equipment such as (experience in all not
  • necessary) L-Acoustics, Q-SYS, Avolites, Resolume, Novastar, Blustream, WyreStorm, Martin Audio, Dante, Baldwin-Boxall.
  • Good communication Skills
  • Driving Licence
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • Design AV systems to consultant standard, including drawing work
  • Happy to attend site meetings
  • On site programming and cover as required for the above
  • You will have excellent technical skills in AV (and lighting) and be up to date with new technology in this area.
  • A leader who is focused on getting the best from their team, you will have high standards and ensure customer delight at all times.
