A fantastic opportunity has opened up to join this remarkable firm's Dispute Resolution and Litigation team at their London office.
The firm are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join them at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Salaried Partner level, depending on experience. This role offers significant potential for career advancement as we expand this practice area.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of contentious trusts and probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, trust disputes, and contested probate cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and strategic advice to clients.
- Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and court submissions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations effectively.
- Stay updated on developments in contentious trusts and probate law and contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's legal services.
Person Specification:
- Minimum 3 years' PQE
- The successful candidate will handle a caseload primarily focused on contentious Trusts matters, with some contentious probate work.
- Ideally, applicants should have a STEP or ACTAPS qualification and the ability to generate work in these areas.
- Having a client following or the ability to develop one would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to prepare clear and persuasive legal documents
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
