Contract: £579 Inside IR35
Duration: 18 months
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Location: Hybrid - Up to 2 days per week at Aldermaston site (Ad Hoc travel to London may be required infrequently)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Commercial Process and Performance Manager to join on of our public sector clients on an 18-month contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in directing and supporting our Commercial and Procurement operations teams, ensuring effective governance, robust reporting, and streamlined processes. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep commercial knowledge and extensive experience in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and guide teams to deliver the strategic direction for Commercial Process and Performance. Develop and implement frameworks that align with organizational goals.
  • Support and Governance: Provide essential support to Commercial and Procurement teams through comprehensive governance structures, detailed reports, and efficient systems and processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Promote the Commercial Management function and its objectives within the organization.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create and deliver standard and bespoke business reports, perform analysis, and provide material for functional performance metrics and reviews.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource planning and management, ensuring the efficient delivery of required tasks and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the scope of responsibility, ensuring proactive and effective risk mitigation.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Develop and maintain Supply Chain Management processes, procedures, systems, and tools. Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver appropriate training materials. Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve both team and personal objectives, prioritizing safety and security.
  • Standards and Teamwork: Uphold high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Commercial Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in Supplier Risk management and insight reporting.
  • Supplier Frameworks: Proven experience in implementing supplier frameworks and supplier trigger mechanisms.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively at all levels.
  • Public Sector Experience: Extensive experience working within the public sector, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.
