Our client are knownfor delivering high-quality, empathetic, and pragmatic legal services to clients across the country. With one of the largest dedicated Court of Protection & deputyship teams, our client provides tailored advice on complex matters, including brain injury, birth injuries, personal injury trusts, and elderly client cases.

The Role:

Our client are seeking experienced Court of Protection Associates to join their growing team.In this role, you will manage your own caseload of brain injury client work, supported by a friendly and approachable team. You will handle a variety of tasks, including making applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies and orders such as statutory wills, authority to purchase property, and authority to make gifts.

This role involves working closely with litigation solicitors, Counsel, case managers, architects, and families, helping them navigate life after devastating events. You will be at the forefront of assisting families with life-changing circumstances, providing both legal and emotional support.

The work is challenging yet rewarding, requiring empathy, pragmatism, and a commercial outlook. You will develop skills in diplomacy, tact, and patience, all while collaborating with a team that values mutual support and engagement in business development.

Requirements:

  • Manage a caseload of brain injury client work.
  • Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection for deputies and other necessary orders.
  • Collaborate with litigation solicitors, case managers, architects, and families.
  • Provide high-quality service with a focus on sensitive, practical, and pragmatic advice.
  • Engage in business development and support both junior and senior colleagues.
