Mortgage Administrator

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Administrator to join an award-winning Wealth Management business that offer quality financial planning and investment advice based in Hale

Office-based role (Hale): Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30 am - 5 pm

The role

  • Responsible for sending introductory emails to all new enquiries.
  • Responsible for administering and progressing applications, managing leads, and liaising with 3rd parties, clients and consultants.
  • You will ensure that all relevant documentation has been checked before submitting the documentation to the lenders.
  • Ensuring all documents are scanned to the activity, prior to and post offer.
  • Creating invoices where applicable and sending invoice reminders.
  • Adding fees to consultants' figures.
  • Ensuring MI is up to date on relevant spreadsheets.
  • You will be expected to do some basic advisor duties, such as outbound calls to the company's current clients to see if people are ready for renewing and sending out re-broke letters to clients.
  • Ensuring that files are compliant post-completion.
  • Chasing lenders where required, and providing updates to clients were required to support the Advisors.
  • Updating of notes on the CRM where applicable.
  • As well as dealing with all new mortgage business, you will assist the mortgage brokers in sourcing suitable mortgages, researching the various lenders and the clients affordability. Obtaining key facts illustrations, generic protection quotations, and keying of mortgage AIPs & applications.
  • Meeting with Lenders' Business Development Managers.
  • You will be required to act as the first point of contact with the clients chasing any outstanding information as well as contacting the relevant mortgage lenders chasing any outstanding information and providing regular updates to the clients.

Requirements

  • Mortgage Administration experience gained within the independent market, ensuring that you are familiar with multiple lenders mortgage products and online portals/platforms.
  • Excellent English written skills and telephone manner, must have experience in dealing with all types of clients from different backgrounds.
  • Must demonstrate technical ability and be confident with mortgage & protection terminology.
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative and ability to time manage and prioritise cases through to completion.
  • Desire to progress in a professional and growing business.

  • 6% Pension paid - auto-enrolment
  • Death in Service cover - 4 x basic
  • Long-term sickness benefit - 75% of basic (After 6 months)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank hols, rising by 1 day per year for each full calendar year to a max of 30.
