Grafton Banks Finance are currently looking for a Group Financial Accountant for a well-known and respected company in London offering significant working from home opportunities.
This established team seeks a Qualified Accountant (ACA) from Big 4 or technical accounting role in financial services who enjoys being a technical accounting advisor and has a strong grasp of IFRS Accounting standards. You will joining an experienced team of accountants.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting you'll take responsibility for the following:
- Provide IFRS technical accounting advice, with particular focus on IFRS 9
- Consider the accounting implications of transactions or changes to the operations of the Group
- Supporting technical accounting projects including consultation with other teams throughout the Group and preparation of technical accounting memos and discussion paper.
The successful candidate:
- Solid experience within technical accounting/accounting policy development team/financial reporting team of a UK publicly listed company or Big Four newly qualified accountant
- Background in Technical accounting, strong working knowledge of IFRS 9, (ECL, Hedge Accounting and Securitisation) and Group reporting
- Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and (IFRS 17 experience is an advantage)
