Estimated Start date: 1 July 2024
Salary: £22,464 per annum pro-rata (£12.00 p/h) £12,480 pa for 20 hr p/w. Casual (zero-hours) wage is £13.45 ph, inclusive of holiday allowance.
Days/Hours of work: Established / permanent: 20 hours per week (average) - Hours may differ from summer to winter. Some rostered evening and weekend work will be required.
Casual: Zero-hours Casual work, ad hoc.
About the role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Household Assistant to join the Castle & Collections Team at Hillsborough Castle & Gardens in Northern Ireland. We are also looking to grow our team of Casual (zero-hours) Household Assistants.
The team consists of the Castle & Collections Manager, Household and Hospitality Team Leader, and the Household Assistants. You will be responsible for carrying out housekeeping routines at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
You will be required to carry out household duties to deliver a 5-star service to all guests, customers, and key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for providing household services including (but not limited to) presentation of State rooms for public viewing, cleaning of public areas and office spaces, back of house housekeeping & laundry, overnight accommodation related services, event set-up, and food & beverage provision, ensuring that Hillsborough Castle and said operations are presented to the highest standards at all times, while remaining customer focused.
