Key Responsibilities:

  • You will use motivational approaches to promote engagement from families & the partners supporting them.
  • You may work closely with other professionals, including health care providers, teachers/lecturers & law enforcement, to gather information and develop intervention plans.
  • You will provide ongoing support and guidance to families, including counselling, advocacy, and assistance with accessing community resources.
  • Throughout your time in Surrey, you will monitor the progress of children and families within your caseload and make recommendations for adjustments to plans as needed.
  • You will be expected to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions, in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and families in a social work setting, for a minimum of three years.
  • A degree in social work with completion of ASYE.
  • Registration with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker.
  • A valid UK Drivers License, with use of own car.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
