Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to provide essential cover for our team's holiday period over the summer. This temporary position is estimated to last for approximately 2 months and requires an immediate start.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Processing purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Reconciling supplier statements to ledger accounts.
- Preparing payment runs and processing payments.
- Handling queries from suppliers and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger role.
- Proficient in the use of an ERP accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of transactions.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Immediate availability to start work.
