About the Role

The role involves providing on-site support for Assurance assignments, ensuring clients receive top-quality service in every aspect.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in Assurance teams, including leading on-site assignments.
  • Follow pre-assignment instructions and carry out all tasks efficiently and thoroughly in line with firm procedures.
  • Maintain high Assurance quality standards, contributing to both internal and external quality assurance.
  • Immediately report any issues or contentious points to the assignment manager, proposing possible solutions.
  • Provide briefing, supervision, and on-the-job training for less experienced staff.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for clients, upholding excellent client service principles.
  • Stay informed about the firm's specialist services and publications to add value for clients.
  • Review the work of less experienced staff for completeness and quality, conducting job appraisals.
  • Compare actual time spent with the budget on each assignment and complete review procedures before manager review.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge through reading and courses, meeting professional CPD requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training records and stay current with examination studies, if applicable.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and assist with student recruitment, training, and marketing activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties within the scope and purpose of the job as required by the Line Manager or Head of Department.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Assurance tasks in a professional services firm.
  • Proven client handling skills and the ability to produce high-quality Assurance work.
  • Experience with analytical review approaches is desirable.
