A well renowned Russel Group University in London is looking for a Senior Social Media Officer to joint the team in July and work with them for 4-5 months. The Senior Social Media Officer will have a pivotal role in enhancing the University's online presence across Tiktok and Instagram. The successful applicant will also be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media channels and working with student content creators.

Our client is a notable Russell Group University in London with an reputable brand.

The team are in the office twice a week, so travel to London is essential for this role.

Description

  • Management of their main channels - Tiktok and Instagram.
  • Creating student recruitment content for the University's owned channels - all organic content.
  • Working closely with the central Communications team and additional Social Media experts.
  • Working closely with student content creators to ensure brand and reputation is upheld.
  • Keeping a close eye on Tiktok and emerging trends in order to stay on top of current content.
  • Preparing for the opening of the UCAS cycle at the start of September.

Profile

A successful Senior Social Media Officer should have:

  • Significant experience using social media in a professional setting and as part of a wider communications plan.
  • Devising, planning and delivering social media campaigns (organic and promoted).
  • Managing content for social media channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Using social media metrics to evaluate engagement and impact, create reports and inform future campaigns.
  • Managing digital content production, including copywriting, photography and video content.
  • Working within a set of brand guidelines.
  • Desirable: video editing skills and good knowledge of Canva.
  • Desirable: previous work in the higher education sector.

Job Offer

  • £198-£234 per day PAYE or Umbrella.
  • Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office.
  • Full time role.
  • Start end of July 2024.
  • Contract length: 4-5 months.
