Opus People Solutions are seeking an Administrator - Term Time Only in Carnborne, Dorset.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, term-time only - enjoy the school holidays with your family!
  • Actual Salary: £24,425.56 - £27,284.44 annually.

The role involves providing administrative support to the Heads of Education and School by managing processes, ensuring accurate data management, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting staff in reviewing and setting objectives for students with additional needs, with a focus on effective transition, progress monitoring, and compliance with Education Health Care Plan requirements.

We are seeking an individual with a strong admin background and excellent interpersonal skills. Whilst not essential, if you have previous experience working in a SEN school or specialist education environment, or knowledge of SEND and Education Health Care Plan procedures - that's a massive bonus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside of the organisation, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration and effective networking.
  • Stay proactive by keeping up to date with EHCP documentation and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Provide accurate and thorough data, working closely with key team members.
  • Assist the Heads of Education/School and staff in identifying pupils who may be at risk.
  • Ensure the systems for recording, storing, and accessing students' EHCPs are consistent and easily accessible for teachers.
  • Make sure teachers, therapists, and care staff have completed the necessary work for reviewing students' EHCPs and setting meaningful objectives.
  • Promptly remind teachers, therapists, and care staff to complete progress reviews and offer support when needed.
  • Actively ensure the Heads of School, Education, Therapy, and Care are fully prepared for all internal and external meetings.

Requirements:

  • Computer proficiency - including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and capable of using various databases after training
  • Accurate typing abilities
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Well-organised with effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children, young people, and adults
