We have an exclusive vacancy for a Fire and Security Design Estimator to become an integral part of our client's design team. We are looking for a candidate with previous design experience, specifically knowledge and official training of fire design is a must to be successful. You will play a vital role in the company's success, ensuring the timely and accurate estimation of projects, from pre-tender to post-tender stages. You will be required to stay up-to-date with market and industry trends, coordinate suppliers and subcontractors, and liaise with multiple different teams within the business, including the sales team, project managers, and external partners. You will be working mostly remotely, however, there will be some expectation to travel to site and the office when required.
A strong technical knowledge of the fire and security industry is essential in this role, including;
- Strong knowledge of the UK safety standards
- Show a deep understanding, including system functionalities and installation requirements, of various fire and security systems, such as: Fire Detection & Alarm, EVC (Emergency Voice Communication), Voice Alarm, Access control, Video Surveillance (CCTV), Intruder & Hold-Up alarm.
- FIA fundamentals in FD&A units 1 & 2 (BS5839 -1 Advanced Design Qualification preferrable).
- Product overview training from manufacturers (Gent and Notifier desirable).
As well as;
- Previous experience as a Design Estimator or similar within the industry.
- Proficiency in design and estimation software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Remuneration:
- £40,000 - £50,000 DOE.
