IT Engineer
Location: Leatherhead
Type: Permanent
Salary: £35k - £38k (depending on experience)
Hours: 9am - 6pm (1-hour lunch break)
Role Overview:
Our client in Leatherhead is seeking a dedicated IT Engineer to join their team. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and a dynamic working environment. As an IT Engineer, you will provide comprehensive support to users, manage and support technology infrastructure, and undertake a variety of technical responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to all users, following helpdesk procedures to ensure optimal service levels and satisfactory issue resolution.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with users throughout the issue resolution process.
- Manage and support all technology, including desktops, software, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Proactively assess the IT Services' technology infrastructure and report findings to the IT Network Manager.
- Undertake diverse technical responsibilities focused on maintaining and upgrading IT systems.
- Monitor the performance of IT and audio-visual hardware, software, and cabling, addressing specific or recurring issues and reporting to the IT Network Manager.
- Document all IT hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment for efficient reference.
- Conduct equipment testing and provide IT support for internal and external events as needed.
- Serve as an escalation point for first-line support staff, including the IT Apprentice, assisting in the delivery of both first and second-line support to users and third-line support to the IT Network Manager.
- Escalate complex challenges to the IT Network Manager.
- Act as the IT Network Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of IT operations and support services.
