Finance Officer Systems Control

What you will be doing..... Systems Control:

Manage and control key financial systems including nominal ledger, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, budget planning, payroll, and banking.

Contract Management:

Oversee finance system contracts, ensuring top performance and liaising with providers.

Training:

Deliver comprehensive training on financial systems controls, keeping materials up-to-date and accessible.

Data and Reporting:

Handle key financial data and reporting for major initiatives.

Support:

Assist the Finance team with budget planning, system reports, and year-end procedures.

Compliance:

Ensure all financial systems adhere to GDPR regulations.

What you need to offer

  • ....
  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience in financial systems control, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Part qualified or working towards qualified or experienced Accounting Technician.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of financial systems, processes and internal controls.
  • Demonstrable deep understanding of financial procedures within a public sector environment.
  • Practical knowledge of financial reporting standards and CIPFA/IFRS Code.
  • Proven experience in supervising staff and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Exceptional ability to convey information clearly and persuasively, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
