Sales Director - HORECA

The Sales Director will be a key driver of the company's growth strategy, responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly within the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering) industry. The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in expanding our client's market presence within the UK and Europe, fostering strong relationships with key customers, and developing innovative sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with our client's business objectives, focusing on both new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing accounts.
  • Team Management: Build, lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets, customer satisfaction, and professional development.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, driving growth across multiple channels, including direct sales, distributors, and online platforms.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring our client is their preferred supplier.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with the product development team to provide customer and market feedback, ensuring our client's offerings remain innovative and competitive.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and provide regular reports to the International Board of Directors, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve financial goals.
  • Brand Representation: Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, enhancing the company's visibility and reputation within the market.

What We Need To See From You:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales leadership roles, within the HORECA industry.

  • Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

  • Skills:

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused approach.

  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with product development and marketing teams.

Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend events both in the UK and abroad, and support sales.

What you'll get:

  • Circa £80,000 to £100,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
