Bookkeeping Manager

Our client in North West London is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bookkeeping Manager to join their dynamic team. About the Role:
As a Bookkeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our clients' financial operations. You'll lead a team of four talented individuals, ensuring high-quality bookkeeping services and fostering a collaborative environment. Your analytical mindset and keen attention to detail will enable you to complete work to a high professional standard while building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated team, reviewing their bookkeeping work, setting workflow targets, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of over 100 clients across various industries, including property, IT, construction, professional services, and e-commerce.
- Assist clients and colleagues with bookkeeping and VAT, providing training on platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext.
- Prepare management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budgets, engaging with clients to discuss business and personal tax strategies.
- Ensure the preparation and submission of VAT returns while maintaining MTD compliance for all clients.
- Identify complex accounting and VAT transactions, working collaboratively to perform balance sheet reconciliations and accounts preparation.
- Implement new processes and software in partnership with department leadership, ensuring smooth adoption across the team.
- Prepare FRS102 accounts using specialist accounting software.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing ad hoc assistance with internal administrative matters.
- Contributing to audit tasks, including data sampling, stock takes, and client money account audits.
- Occasional travel to client premises to strengthen relationships.

Education & Qualifications:
- AAT Level 3 or Level 4 completed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting and bookkeeping role.
- Strong GCSE and/or A-Level results.
