In this role, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated equipment, with a focus on power generation systems. Additionally, the technician ensures safe working practices are followed and supports the upkeep of the landfill gas collection system.

The ideal Maintenance Technician has experience in power generation and the maintenance of reciprocating engines. They are safety-focused, skilled in both preventative and breakdown maintenance, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

The Role:

  • Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated equipment.
  • Maintain the landfill gas collection system and associated equipment.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed.
  • Work out of two sites, predominantly from the Newcastle Under Lyme site and occasionally from the Cotesbach site (up to a week).

The Person:

  • Maintenance Engineer or similar with experience in power generation.
  • Experience working on diesel engines and related control systems.
  • Safety-focused and skilled in both preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driver's license required.
