Communications & Marketing Officer

Summary

We're looking for someone to join our team in central Manchester supporting an exciting National project at Castlefield Viaduct. If you're an inspiring individual with a passion for people, places, nature, beauty and history, then we'd love to hear from you.

Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week, working two full days between Wednesday and Friday with an occasional weekend working day depending on the need of the team.

Contract: Fixed term for 7 months

Salary: £12.24 per hour

What it's like to work here

We're a bit different at Castlefield Viaduct. We're a property and team delivering a unique urban scheme, so you'll be joining at an exciting time.

The team work primarily on the Viaduct with some occasional time at our city centre office and sometimes at home so you'll be required to work wherever is appropriate.

We're a small team but we work within a wider context. You'll engage with national and regional teams and external partners to help us achieve our ambitions so there's lots to get involved in. This role supports communication around our engagement with local communities and programming both on and off site.

What you'll be doing

The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on - you can guarantee that no day is the same, so you'll have to love variety and working at pace.

You'll provide support to a property, leading the planning and delivery of an effective and creative communications and marketing plan for a high-profile project including, social, website, press, filming & broadcast media.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you're:

  • familiar and confident with various marketing techniques, including digital and social media
  • experienced in writing and speaking clearly
  • someone who puts people first, and understands why great customer service matters
  • skilled in working with IT (including Microsoft Office)
  • good at solving problems, and able to work on your own initiative.
