Tax and Trusts Manager

Harvey John are partnered with a law firm who have a phenomenal reputation in the marketplace - they are recruiting a Tax and Trusts Manager to join their private client team in Lewes, East Sussex

You will sit within a professional, motivated collaborative team. You will be stepping into an established portfolio of work, but with the scope to develop the role in the direction that you wish in the future

This is an exciting and varied client facing position, working mainly with HNWI and complex trusts. Key responsibilities will include preparation of trust tax returns and managing tax compliance for a range of trusts and estates, preparation and filing of personal tax returns, providing tax planning advice to clients and trustees, helping to optimise tax efficiency and mitigate liabilities and handle client communications and provide support on complex tax matters. You will also support partners and legal teams with tax-related matters arising in private client cases.
About you:

  • You will probably be CTA/ATT or STEP qualified
  • Have a minimum of roughly 5 years of experience in a law firm and/or private client team within an accountancy firm covering Personal Tax and Trusts & Estates compliance
  • Be flexible, energetic, organised and accustomed to meeting tight deadlines
  • Focused on providing an excellent service to clients
  • Live within commuting distance of Lewes, East Sussex
