Help Desk Coordinator
Location – St. Albans, Hertfordshire
VGC are pleased to announce that we have an amazing opportunity for a Help Desk Coordinator to join a construction business who provide planned and reactive maintenance in the Rail, Education, Health, Local Authority and Church sectors as well-performing small civil engineering works across the South and East of England.
If you have prior experience in helpdesk/ service desk coordination & administration, and looking for an expansive company to be a part of, this could be a great role for you.
Working Hours: 0830 – 1730 Monday to Friday.
Additional hours may need to be worked depending on workload.
Key Accountabilities:
- First point of contact for incoming telephone calls and services requests received by telephone and email.
- Working with Asset Pro live reporting system ensuring all assigned jobs are started and completed within the contract SLA
- Sort and dispatch calls to engineers or sub-contractors based on the correct skills set, geographical location and service delivery arrangements
- Prioritise urgent jobs and plan and dispatch operative/sub-contract support to address urgent demand.
- Attend training and Health and Safety courses from time to time as directed by the Contracts Manager
Required / Skills:
- GCSE's or equivalent – Grade C in English and Maths
- Good planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise own workload efficiently
- Understanding of FM business or the willingness to learn

- Excellent telephone manner
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Outlook
