Reed Education North Wales is collaborating with a Secondary School in Flintshire to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs. Job Description:
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering lessons, supporting pupils, and ensuring they are engaged and motivated. This full-time position, starting in September 2024, requires a long-term commitment and dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons for pupils and provide support and assistance as needed.
- Ensure that pupils are engaged, motivated, and on task.
- Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress.
Requirements:
- A relevant undergraduate degree or a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
- GCSE or equivalent passes in Math's and English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
Additional Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (if you do not have one, you can process an Enhanced DBS through Reed).
- Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in schools in Wales.
