A leading Global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join their team in Central London on an initial 6 month engagement!
- New role reporting to the Head of Technical Delivery
- Initial 6 month engagement working 2 days a week in their central London offices
- Working on a multi-year, multi-million pound programme
Reporting to the Head of Technical Delivery, you will play a key role in fostering a high-performing environment through coaching and planning, manage backlogs and dependencies, and oversee sprint and release planning. You will also mentor Engineering Delivery Managers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure teams are aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align on strategic direction, facilitate design sprints, and create high-level solutions with engineering teams.
- Lead detailed feature estimation, plan resource needs, and establish governance structures.
- Manage a scrum of scrums framework, implement team structures and ensure alignment with the strategic roadmap.
- Act as an escalation point, coach Scrum Masters and Product Owners, remove blockers, and foster a collaborative, self-organising environment.
- Lead employee management, ensuring consistent use of discretion and adherence to Group policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise business performance and product delivery.
Skillset and Requirements
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in asset management, including facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams, and delivering software.
- Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira) and experience in SDLC and iterative delivery within an Agile framework.
- Basic understanding of financial products, Investment functions for Institutional Fund Management, and front-to-back Trade Lifecycle.
- Skilled in managing multiple initiatives and driving Continuous Improvement to enhance productivity.
- Strong leadership qualities: engaging, communicative, and motivating; dedicated to building high-performing teams aligned with core values.
