We have an amazing opportunity to join a nurturing and innovative learning environment dedicated to providing exceptional education for children with special educational needs in Dawlish. Long-term Teachers are recruiting a Special Educational Needs HLTA for a school we work closely with in Dawlish.

Located on a beautiful, picturesque landscape, our school provides high quality education and care for EYFS all the way up to post 16. You will be working closely with students, assisting with their learning and overall wellbeing, dependent on the current needs.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring they are adapted to meet the needs of all students
  • Lead small group activities and interventions, promoting engagement and learning
  • Provide one-to-one support to students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals
  • Support the creation of a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
